The Luxembourg Society of Wisconsin was founded on June
19, 1977. It's goal is the preservation of Luxembourg culture, history,
heritage and genealogy in the Ozaukee County region of Wisconsin.
It celebrates Fuesicht (The National Holiday), Kirmes, and St. Nick.
In addition, it hosts the Luxembourg Fest of Belgium, which was first
held on August 9, 1987. Its theme is the Family Reunion. It
preserves ethnic food, exhibits of culture, heirlooms and genealogy.
It is held annually on the first Sunday of August in Belgium, Wisconsin,
40 miles north of Milwaukee on Hwy. 43.
